The Beginner's Method is definitely the first method to learn. Every cube puzzles can be solved by this simple method and even the megaminx series. Once you learn this method, you will probably be able to have a good understanding of the cube and spacial recognition.

 

 

"The Begginers Method"

This consists of mainly 5 steps.

1. Cross-

2. ​Corners-

3. Second layer-

4. Orientate Last Layer

5. Finish off Last Layer

 

1.The Cross 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The most important thing to remember is that the center peice indicates the color of that side when it is solved.

For example, if your cube is mixed up and you see a random side.

If its center peice is green, the side will be green when solved.

When building the cross,the pieces must be placed in the right position.

That means a white/green edge will come in between the white and green face.

When you have one edge done, you don't want to turn that face anymore.

Otherwise, you will mess it up.

Sometimes, you will accidentally have a edge in the right position but flipped. In this case, watch part2 of my video above or use the algorithm below

 

2. The corners

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you have the cross, hold your cross on the top.

Just like you had to put edges in the right place, corners must be placed in correct places

You can use algorithms, but they are completely unnecesary.

They are really short and easy to figure logically.

However, I will post it here.

First of all, you must put the corner in D layer.

Now, place it just beneath the place you want to insert in.

If you hold them on the right front side, the corner will have a white side facing either the front, right or down.

If front- D' R' D R or F D F'

If right- R' D' R

If down- R' D2 R D R' D' R
